...let’s add another thing to the list: kickboxing!

What makes Dutch-style kickboxing different? It fuses Japanese kickboxing with Muay Thai, and incorporates certain techniques not used in other forms of kickboxing, such as clinches.

In this all-levels, seminar-style class, you’ll learn these unique moves and techniques, as well as the tried-and-true basics of kickboxing, such as strikes, footwork, thrusts, and punches. Your expert instructor will lead you through a variety of exercises, including cardio, pad work, partner drills, and optional light sparring.

You’ll also get a great workout that will develop your strength and agility -- all with the chance to develop some great new friendships!

As the Dutch would say: “Proust!” Or, as Americans would say: “Cheers!”

Note: Required equipment for this class includes hand wraps, boxing gloves (14-16 oz), and a mouth guard; headgear is recommended for those students interested in light sparring. There is limited loaner equipment available at the gym for students trying out the class; staff will also be available to help in the purchase of equipment.
