    Group Foil Fencing

    Who hasn't dreamed of becoming a master swordsman and teaming up with the likes of Zorro or Inigo Montoya to save the world? Well, even they had to learn somewhere. Enroll in LionHeart Academy's Group Foil class today and prepare to walk out the hero of your own story. During this 90 minute session your instructor will walk you through an in-depth explanation of competitive Olympic-style foil fencing. This class is open for anyone 10 years or older, and beginners are more than welcome to join and will be assisted at their own pace until they can integrate into the main body of the class. You will learn the strategy and tactics of fencing: offensive, defensive, and counteroffensive techniques will be developed and explored over time. So gear yourself up -- there's always room for a fourth Musketeer.

    Group Archery

But you're a quick learner. You could get to his level, right? Well, it has to start somewhere. Aim high at LionHeart Academy! Learn the exciting sport of archery at San Diego's only indoor archery range in East County when you sign up for lessons. LionHeart Academy is an indoor public archery range whose instructors are certified by USA Archery and the National Training System. You'll start shooting on Day One with traditional recurve bows and equipment provided by LionHeart Academy during your first month of archery classes. Join in group activities include games, drills, and target practice. Oh, and if you see Lars, tell him there's a new archer in town.

    Medieval Sword Training

    Is chivalry dead? We don't think so. And neither do the folks at Lionheart Academy. So here's what's up, San Diego. This class allows you to go back in time to the Medieval Ages and learn the ways of Knighthood. But like, actually. These lessons are wrought from "Manuals of Defense" -- books that are straight out of the 14th and 15th centuries. It doesn't get much more time-travel than that. Your instructor, Scott Farrell of Chivalry Today will give you the opportunity to discover, and eventually master, the surprisingly complex practice of medieval sword fighting. So you can experience the skills of a real medieval knight training for battle, duel, or tournament. The focus of Swords of Chivalry won't just lie on physical skill, but also on the values of self-discipline, respect, trust, sportsmanship, and honor - the values of the code of chivalry! So you should sign up, whether you want to learn how to cross swords and spar with fellow students or if you're just looking to get a low-impact workout through range-of-motion physical techniques (think yoga with a sword).     Women Group Foil Fencing

    Did you know that LionHeart Fencing Academy is the only fencing school in San Diego with a class dedicated to the instruction of women? Come on, San Diego! Get with the times. ;) (Just kidding, we love you SD!) Although it isn't imperative to have separate training, it is certainly helpful, as women's fencing phrases can be much longer than men's. Therefore, this class is dedicated specifically to exploring those differences -- especially good for those athletes aspiring to compete on the national level in gender-specific competitions. Beginners are more than welcome in this class and will be assisted by a coach until they can integrate into the main body of the class. So come as you are! Well, unless you're a male.
