Coronado Island and City Segway Tour

Traveling by Segway is not only fun and different, but also allows you to easily cover much more ground than walking. Your San Diego Segway adventure begins in the city's bustling Gaslamp Quarter. During your 30-minute orientation session, learn how to get around and stay safe on your Segway from your friendly expert guide. Once you're comfortable, it's time to head out on the streets of San Diego and listen to your guide talk about the city's history and sights. Keep your energy up with complimentary bottled water and chips, and pause for photos along the way.

Cruise through the lively Gaslamp Quarter, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Some of its many eateries, shops and clubs occupy Victorian-era buildings. Then travel along the Embarcadero, cruising by hotels, condos and the lovely San Diego Bay. Prepare for lots of curious looks as you ride by on your swift and smooth Segway.

Board the Coronado Ferry for the 15-minute trip to Coronado Island, a scenic resort community just across the San Diego Bay. Disembark at the Coronado Ferry Landing Marketplace, a vibrant collection of galleries and boutiques. Ride your Segway around the enclave of Coronado, stopping to admire the castle-like splendor of the Hotel del Coronado, a historic luxury beachfront resort.

See posh homes which overlook Glorietta Bay, and delight in panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean as you make your way past Coronado Beach on Ocean Boulevard. Then slide back onto the Coronado Ferry for the ride back to downtown San Diego. Conclude your 2-hour Segway tour at your original departure point in the Gaslamp Quarter.

Note: No Segway experience is necessary. Safety helmets and vests will be provided. You must be 12 years or older to participate. Riders under the age of 18 are required to bring a parent-signed waiver. Riders 12 to 15 years old must also have a parent accompany them on the tour. There is a minimum weight limit of 100 lbs and a maximum weight limit of 250 lbs in order to ride a Segway. This tours operate rain or shine. The exact departure location will be provided upon booking.
