    Half Day Wine Tastings

Or you could push all that stuff to the backburner and spend a lovely afternoon tasting some of the region's finest wine. You can expect to meet other wine enthusiasts on this social tour that stops at three wineries. Not only will you make friends and taste good vino, you'll also spot landmarks and notable wineries, and learn about local history. Then you'll have the rest of the day to take care of those other activities.

    Hearst Castle Grand Rooms Tour (Paso Robles)

    Feelin' blue cause you're not an old-media mogul? 'Tis a hard fact of life, that not everyone can serve as the inspiration for Citizen Kane. BUT -- courtesy of The Wine Wrangler, you can walk in the footsteps of a magnate, at the Hearst Castle Tour, former residence of billionaire newspaperman William Randolph Hearst! This tour is highly recommended for first-time visitors. You'll make like one of Mr. Hearst's guests, who used to gather in the grand social room on the ground floor of Casa Grande (the main house). Follow their footsteps and experience what it was like to be a guest at Hearst Castle. At the end of the tour, you'll be allowed to stroll through the gardens and wander at your leisure around the Neptune Pool and the Roman Pool. After the tour, you'll receive a gourmet lunch at or near the Castle before heading home. Now that's something to stop the presses for.
