I really appreciated our tour guide. She made the tour interesting, fun and her personal stories added a colourful dimension to the history of Seattle. If you like art galleries make time before or after the tour to visit art galleries in the neighbourhood.

We had a really good tour. Richard did a great job filling us in on the local history and lore of Seattle.

This tour was just about an hour long, and with it you get a jam packed history lesson. It's incredible how many underground parts there still are in this town! Our tour guide's name was Carla and she knew A LOT about Seattle! Great personality, she told us so many things that I would've otherwise never known. Seattle has such an interesting history, and it was great to hear it from such an enthusiastic person. Thanks Carla!!

Not what we expected. Although the guide did give the rundown of Seattle's history, not much to the tour itself except some tunnels with photographs taped to the walls showing what Seattle looked like in the old days, pre street build. Guide was very scripted, which was disappointing.

These guys know how to make you love Seattle. So much information was downloaded in such short time; that too while we were walking both above and below ground in the city. While by "underground" the tour refers to the tunnels beneath modern-Seattle's sidewalks, the tour exceeded our expectations. Ask a lot of questions, the tour guides are very funny and knowledgeable. After they gave us the tour we realized that at every turn we were watching for the features of 1890 seattle.

I love history! So whenever we travel somewhere new, we make a point to do some kind of history tour. We love to hear about the people that lived there, how it was established, see old buildings and hear the stories.
Today we did all of that on the Beneath The Streets walking tour.
Honestly at first I wasn't sure I wanted to do an "underground" tour. I was imagining being in dank basements for an hour and that didn't seem ultra appealing. While we did get some of that dank basement feel, we also got some touring above ground as well. I would bet the time below and above is split about 50-50. But the best part is we got a ton of great history.
In our party, we had 3 adults and 2 kids, 5 and 11 year old with us. It was a challenge to get them to go down the steps (they share a space with the haunted tours). The kids were a little freaked out at first. The woman at the front desk was awesome. She gave us information on what to expect and went out of her way to make my nephew feel easier about being underground. And so the kids went along without much additional fuss!
We were lucky enough to have the tour today with Kari. She was knowledgeable, warm, and engaging. I love when the guide is open to your questions, because that makes you feel like it's a lesson vs just something to do. She was great with questions. Our group had a moderate amount of questions, but you could see she was open to more if we wanted to ask them.
I would totally recommend! I learned a lot!

Our guide was Richard and he was great! He was equal parts informative and funny! Less underground exploration/tour than I anticipated but it was very entertaining and interesting to hear the history of Seattle! We still got to see several underground areas of the city. Would highly recommend!

This 90 minute tour is a great way to see old Seattles history. Dave our guide was very interesting and the tour which maybe a little challenging for people with walking issues is well worth it
I would recommend you book direct as I paid more by using a company in U.K.

Great group! Our our guide was very knowledgeable with an added bit of funny! We arrived early and they were able to move us up to an earlier tour - thanks! Go with this group if you're looking for an underground tour.

My first and only experience in Seattle so far. Very interesting and illuminating with lots of unusual facts about Seattle. Am sure I wouldn't want to live there now lol! Would thoroughly recommend to everyone. Great tour guide who was fast talking but had lots of stories to tell.

Learned some new information about Seattle's origins on this tour. It was a fairly large group, but we still managed to move around to the different underground spaces to imagine what it was like back then.
