The martial art form of jiu-jitsu is all about learning effective grappling techniques. Grappling allows combatants to win the ground game which, contrary to what you might see in film and television, is where most fights end up.

You’ll be learning a host of takedown methods to throw your opponent off balance and drop them hard. From there, you'll focus on joint locks, chokes, and grappling moves to immobilize and subdue.

Due to its potent functional nature, jiu-jitsu makes an excellent practice for both self-defense and sport, as seen in its meteoric rise in popularity in MMA competitions. Along the way to mastering this style, you’ll also be developing core strength, stamina, and body control.
