Escape from Twenty Thousand Leagues April 10, 2017This was a great visit. The puzzle was challenging enough to keep us entertained and engaged and have to rethink it from time to time, but we were still able to master it with time remaining. It was a good introduction to this type of game for the newbies and worked well with 4 people. It was a fairly linear story so it was easy to follow.

Escape from Twenty Thousand Leagues March 14, 2017What a great time, we did 20,000 leagues under the sea room. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a challenging puzzle. I want to go back to try another room.

Escape the Midnight Carnival February 26, 2017This was our first time so we weren't sure what to expect. Sad to say we didn't break the curse of the Midnight Carnival with our group but we had a great time making the attempt. The staff was friendly and we will be planning a return trip soon - next time with a game plan.

Escape the Midnight Carnival February 6, 2017Great fun! My team of five coworkers and I did Escape the Midnight Carnival together. The storyline was very well concepted and the puzzles were complex enough to be interesting and challenging, without being totally overwhelming. The variety of puzzle types was such that each of us really had a chance to use our individual strengths, while the overall storyline had us all communicating with each other throughout the gameplay.
I'd definitely recommend this for any group, be it work, school or social. -

Escape from Twenty Thousand Leagues December 14, 2016We went with a group of 12 to "Escape from Twenty Thousand Leagues". It worked well with a group of this size as there are many different clues to analyze and solve. The puzzles were high quality in my opinion, I was impressed with my team-mates who were able to crack some of them.
Puzzle Break were really helpful in setting this up for us. There was uncertainty from my side over the date, but they accommodated all my enquiries politely and always responded in a timely manner. -

Escape the Midnight Carnival November 27, 2016We had a group of 10 people for the Midnight Carnival room. George was our guide for the event and he was awesome - super friendly and helpful. Everything was very well run and organized, and some of the puzzles were pretty high tech in terms of how they unlocked. We're planning on returning for the other room. Highly recommended!

Escape the Midnight Carnival November 12, 2016I love this company! I've completed 3 different rooms (and have escaped them all!) and am beyond impressed with the quality of their puzzles and the attention to detail.
This is a great outing for a company or team and can really teach you to communicate effectively.
The staff is all very organized, calm and instructive. We can't wait to try Midnight Carnival! -

Escape from Twenty Thousand Leagues March 11, 201510 friends and I (along with 4 other people) booked tickets for the "Escape From Twenty Thousand Leagues" room where you have an hour to find all the clues, solve the puzzles, and literally escape the room. We finished in 58 minutes and 11 seconds - only the second team to finish in time!
The puzzles were challenging, but if you were ever going in a direction that would waste valuable time, the puzzle masters would give you cryptic hints to steer you in the right direction. Lots of communication and teamwork is demanded in order to finish within the hour, as well as out of the box thinking. It was so much of a thrill to do, and the fact that we escaped, that we're planning on doing the other themed room "The Grimm Escape" soon.
I would highly recommend this fun event, and it's in a great location as well that you can all go out for a drink afterward or a nice bite to eat somewhere nearby. Also you don't need a large group, as others will sign up for the same time slot in order for there to be enough people. A nice way to get introduced to like-minded people. -

The Grimm Escape: Seattle December 3, 2014A group of 5 of us went together for our friend's birthday. It was a ton of fun! I had a hard time imagining it before we got there, and I thought I would get really bored or restless being trapped in a room with 12 people for a whole hour. But the puzzles are so complex, and you don't have time to get bored or claustrophobic. It's intense! But overall, I was really impressed. Would love to see Puzzle Break show up in more cities, or have more rooms to try.

The Grimm Escape: Seattle November 24, 2014Surprisingly difficult, and fun for that matter.
My best advice is that you take nothing as it is. You certainly have to think outside the box. -

The Grimm Escape: Seattle November 24, 2014So I love these escape the room games. I play them on my iPad and love a good challenge.
This is the real life version of those games!
You get 1 hour to run around in a room with 11 other people (your friends or complete strangers) and solve puzzles to try to escape!
Ok, this was NOT easy but that's what makes it fun!
Definitely communicate and make sure to keep track of time! I can't wait til the next set comes out.
Who knows, you might make some new friends as well! :) -

The Grimm Escape: Seattle November 7, 2014I had a blast. It really takes a lot of communication and team work. Everybody views and brings different dynamics. Even when you feel you didn't contribute much you have done more than you realize. It's fun, gets your brain working and absolutely worth it!

The Grimm Escape: Seattle August 28, 2014Puzzle Break is really fun to do with a bunch of friends! You're locked in a room and you have one hour to get out of the room by solving a bunch of puzzles. I can't give away more but communication is key and all hands on deck are needed to escape.
A full group is 12 people and it is definitely more fun and easier to communicate if you know everyone (minimum 8 people required to play) so round up your friends! I've done both rooms - the first group was 8 friends and the second group was 8 friends + 4 strangers. We were really close to escaping the first time round (if only we had more people!) and we escaped the second time round!
I cannot wait for more rooms to come so I can do this again! -

The Grimm Escape: Seattle August 22, 2014What a fun thing to do with a bunch of friends!
I can't give anything away, but it's an intriguing hour locked in a room that bends and tests your logic and puzzle solving skills. Staff is friendly, funny, and informative.
There are more rooms coming soon and I look forward to doing them with friends and out of state visitors. The location is in the lovely cap hill neighborhood, and there are lots of places for food/drinks before or after. -

The Grimm Escape: Seattle February 23, 2014This was super fun and a great rainy Sunday activity! I played with 11 people I know, which I would recommend if possible, but I'm sure it would be fun with new people too. I've done puzzle hunt type events before, and I will say that being in a specific, staged room allows them to be creative with the puzzles. Looking forward to Room 2!

The Grimm Escape: Seattle February 15, 2014Decided to do this to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends. We all agreed it was fun and that the puzzles will make you think. We didn't escape, but were close. We needed just about 5 more minutes. Looking forward to the Puzzle Break 2.

The Grimm Escape: Seattle January 12, 2014SO much fun. I only wish there were a "no time limit" option... our team didn't succeed at completing the puzzle, though we were close. It was awesome anyways and my team and I had a blast. Hopefully they make a new room soon so we can go back. :)
I initially thought it'd be a group of us just sitting at a table solving puzzles on paper, but it's very, very different from that -- and extremely active. Highly recommend this for some saturday night fun! -
