Have you ever been stuck in the middle of the sidewalk with your head tipped back as far as it will go? Do you often find yourself in awe of the various skyscrapers around you, wondering about the way history has impacted the creations? Great. This is your tour.
Seattle is a wonderland for architecture, and as history tells us, the artistry of buildings is ever-changing. With Seattle Architecture Foundation as your guide, you’ll explore the architectural favorites of Seattle, from the old (ie Kirtland Cutter’s Rainier Club) to the new (think Rem Koolhaas’ Central Library).
You’ll learn about and get a new appreciation for the historical/social forces that impacted Seattle’s architecture. So bring along a friend, sig other, or architecturally-curious co-worker and get yourself enlightened -- hey, we’re not building this one up.
