    Aerial Dance On Motivity Trapeze

What could be more beautiful than an elegant ballet? How about a ballet in the sky! Aerial dance is a special form of aerial arts with the focus on the inherent beauty and fluidity of movement, as opposed to the tricks and stunts taught in circus aerial arts classes. You'll learn basic vocabulary and moves to secure yourself on the equipment with various body parts, but the emphasis of the class is on freedom of movement and expression in the vertical and horizontal space using a type of dance trapeze known as the 'motivity' trapeze. Explore the range of movement possibilities on the apparatus with partners as well as on your own. Since 2005, UpSwing Aerial Dance Company has been a destination for dancers and movement enthusiasts to push their artistic development. This class gives you the opportunity to learn a unique style and blend of movement while improvising with your instructor and fellow students. UpSwing pushes the boundaries of dance in the choreography and in the classes they teach. So what are you waiting for? Sky's the limit!
