Have you recently purchased a pistol, but want to get comfortable using it? Or maybe you think you want a gun, but need some tips about the process. This class offers an extensive overview of what to look for when buying a pistol, gun ownership and regulations, safety practices, and shooting technique. You’ll learn to apply a set of NRA approved guidelines when buying a gun, identify parts of the pistol, clean it, load your pistol, identify and fix common malfunctions, properly store your gun and ammo, and shoot a target with proper stance and technique. You will get to practice your skills with a variety of shooting exercises. After class, you’ll be able to take the Handgun Safety Certificate test for an extra fee.
Note: Please note that the price listed does not include a $15 range fee nor a pistol or ammunition. You may bring your own pistol or rent one. The price to rent a pistol and ammunition is $20 and can be paid upon arrival. This activity is for individuals 12 and up. Participants under 21 years of age must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
