  Dan Chew is an excellent food guide. We enjoyed both vegan/veggie tours in the Mission and China town. He was awesome, fun and his personal knowledge of China town was so great! Everything was wonderful. We will be back each time we visit Sfo.

  The Mission Vegetarian Food Tour June 27, 2014

  This tour was a highlight for my vacation to SF. Dan, our tour guide, was a natural at guiding us through the area--extremely knowledgeable and easy going. He does other tours as well. This tour is great for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. I'm not a vegetarian and was very pleased with the flavors and choices. You definitely will not leave hungry (it's more likely you will feel stuffed)...it is sooo worth the money. We got to sit inside each restaurant and mostly shared a bunch of dishes at each stop amongst 4 guests total. He went above and beyond and didn't rush us through each stop, it was much longer than expected in a great way. So keep your schedule open for the tour. Our group was fun (which will vary I'm sure) and wasn't awkward at all. I only wish I could've had time for another tour this trip. I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide!

  Mission Food and Drink Tour March 31, 2014

  I'm new to San Francisco and so I decided to do the Mission Food Tour (North). It was a bit of a rainy day, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. Michael, our guide, is a great people person and he has the ability to sense what the group is feeling (food wise), giving us a semi-customized tour based on the group's preferences. Michael's knowledge of the neighborhood was impressive, making the tour very informative and entertaining. My favorite stops were Southpaw and Dandelion Chocolate. Would go again!
