Put your love of katanas and Japanese culture into practice with iaido, the Japanese art of responding to surprise attacks with a sword. As you counter hypothetical attacks, you'll learn to maneuver your sword with precise, refined posture, movement, grip, and swing. In addition to working on your sword technique, you will develop the concentration and imagination necessary to summon up the exhilaration of a real fight. As you build strength and control, you'll also be molding your mind into an aware, harmonious state, prepared to deal quickly and effectively with any surprises that life throws your way.

Iaido is the closest Japanese martial art to Zen Meditation, and of of the last living martial traditions of the Samurai. Come experience authentic Esihin ryu iaido that combines martial arts and self improvement with its ancient yet surprising modern practice.

Note: Admission for 1st session can be applied towards future sessions. This class does not include any live sparring.

Sensei Diamantstein is a 7th dan of the Zen Nihon Iaido Renmei, and a 7th dan of the seito seryu muso jikide eishin ryu iaido kokusai remei in Tokyo. He is a direct student of Hanshi 10th Dan Esaka Seigan Sensei in Tokyo.
