    Candlemaking

    Opal'z
Candles are dainty, elegant ways to spruce up any home! Instead of spending tons of money buying candles from that posh furniture store down the street, why not make your own? This class will start with the basics and teach you how to create a professional looking candle. Customize your color and design, as well as try different fragrances and waxes. Throughout the class you'll learn about molds, wicks, and scents -- three components necessary in the process of candle creation. You'll even discuss candle safety! At the end of the class, you will have made a fragrant soy container candle, gel candle and pillar candle. Brighten your home and add a great fragrance to any room.

    Perfume Making

    Opal'z
You don't have to be a celebrity to create your own personal fragrance! During this class, you will enjoy a consultation with an experienced perfume guide as you begin to understand the design and construction of a fragrance. Once you've learned the basics, begin designing your own scent, mixing your choice of quality essential and fragrance oils and aroma blends, and including as many elements as you desire. Choose a label, give your fragrance a name, and leave the class smelling like a million bucks, as your perfume will be made up right then and there!

    Cold Process Soap Making Class

    Opal'z
Learn how to make the wonderful, natural soaps you see at specialty stores and farmer's markets from scratch! Using only vegetable oil, lye, and essential oil and botanicals for scent, create beautiful, creamy lathering soaps that are actually good for your skin. As you begin to understand the cold process, you will become familiar with the equipment involved, and learn about different oils, safety techniques for working with lye (or sodium hydroxide), and how to create your own custom formula. After completing at least one batch, your soap will need to cure for 4-6 weeks, but you certainly won't be leaving empty handed -- take home 3 already cured cold process soap samples to hold you over until your custom-made product is ready to use!
