Climb through a 100-year old history of the four-peak tour of San Francisco’s most visited neighborhood, Eureka Valley. This multicultural hotspot spans the Castro District, Twin Peaks, Corona Heights, and Dolores Heights. Known as the outskirts of the City, Eureka Valley was the place where cows used to graze. You'll uncover the history of the Eureka Valley as we investigate relics of the 1850s outskirts and the churches of the 1890s Irish community. You’ll also travel through streets that were abandoned in the 60s then brought back to life in 70s by the flourishing gay community. Locals and visitors alike can appreciate these untold moments in history as you explore four of the best vistas in San Francisco. This tour is a bit of a hike, but isolation from the City has it’s perks. You'll visit secret staircases and hidden concrete slides. Secluded gardens and a certain podium with a missing statue. At the peak of Corona Heights, you’ll conclude at the lesser-known, but fascinating Randall Museum. Consider the Museum’s free entry as a reward for this fourth and final climb.
