    Beginning Silks

    Have you been wanting to take your workouts to new heights? In this class you will learn the fundamentals of aerial silks, beginning with flexibility, strength, and conditioning exercises that will help you feel comfortable in the air. You will work on basic climbing skills and will learn how to create "locks" around your body with the fabric. As your strength increases, you will progress into various positions, inversions, and drops. You'll build confidence and improve your overall health. Learn to defy gravity and move like silk.

    Aerial Conditioning

    Students work in stations, targeting specific muscle groups used to strengthen their aerial bodies. Inversions, pull ups, beats, hip keys, skin the cats, meathook, split, and backbends exercises are explored through circuits, and are designed to challenge one’s strength and flexibility. Aerial Conditioning is the “Flames” segment of the Aireal Alchemy project. By taking this class, you will be working towards straight arm inversions, straight leg hip keys, and building your inverted climb vocabulary.

    Intermediate Silks

    The class is based off the Clouds part of the Aireal Alchemy project, building on the base movements learnt in the Roots section by introducing intermediate base poses, their variations, and adds initial layering techniques. Students in this class will have a vast understanding of the “hitch” theory of aireal, and experience deep explorations of hip, knee, foot, and waist hitches. Intermediate classes are available to students who can hang in the air for over 3 minutes, do a solid invert from the air, and have hip keys and foot locks diale

    Intro to Parkour

    The French have given us creme brulee, The Statue of liberty, and now they bring us Parkour. L'art du déplacement, or the art of movement, Parkour is a fitness discipline focused on learning how to navigate your environment efficiently and quickly. Your surroundings are the obstacle course and your body is the tool in this introductory class. Exercises will range between running, swinging, climbing, vaulting, rolling and crawling. Aside from the training and the advances it has on your physical well-being, Parkour will instill confidence in what you can do mentally and physically.     What could be more beautiful than an elegant ballet? How about a ballet in the sky! Aerial dance is a special form of aerial arts with the focus on the inherent beauty and fluidity of movement, as opposed to the tricks and stunts taught in circus aerial arts classes. Try your hand at the inventive and adventurous artform known as aerial dance. You'll be guided by Ashley Foster, a well-respected innovator in the field. She will show you the basic moves in a fun and supportive manner and have you flying through the air in no time. Since 2005, UpSwing Aerial Dance Company has been a destination for dancers and movement enthusiasts to push their artistic development.     Aerial Dance On Motivity Trapeze
