Since its origins in 1970’s New York, salsa dancing has come to be regarded as one of hottest Latin-inspired dance forms in the world. You’ll see why in this energetic class designed to teach the fundamentals of salsa to beginners. You’ll begin with a warm up introducing you to basic dance steps, before moving on to more complex rhythms and across-the-floor routines. During the course of this class, you’ll not only be having a great time, you’ll be developing strength and stamina, making it an effective aerobic workout. In addition to the formal movements of salsa, you’ll be taught the embellishments and attitude that make this style frivolous and provocative at the same time.
