Picture a hula hoop suspended from the ceiling as your medium for acrobatic tricks like spins, drops, and poses. A fancy way of expressing flexibility, aerial hoop, also known as lyra, is diverse in its usages. This introductory class focuses on the cross over vocabulary from flexible apparatus, as well as flexibility enhancement. You'll work on strengthening and conditioning to maximize your individual dexterity -- but unlike your typical Butts N’ Guts class at the gym, you get to swing through the air while you’re at it.
Note: Hoops designed for students under the height of 5”5’ are available.
