You love your digital camera, but something in the quality of your photos has you feeling it might not love you back. Mend your relationship with this 5 hour in-studio class! You’ll not only learn the basics of photography and how to properly use all of your camera’s tools, but you’ll also get a hands-on experience that takes you from shoot to print. In this hands-on digital photography workshop, you will get a glimpse into art practices through a slideshow and short lecture. Then, your instructor will go through everyone’s camera and equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order, and then go over the basics of photography: f-stops and shutter speeds, ISO and white balance, and other basic camera tools. Once camera controls are established and everyone’s comfortable with their camera, your group will venture out into the world for a photo tour around the lovely Outer Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco. At the end of the experience you’ll walk away with proof of your new knowledge in the form of an 8x10 studio quality print that you -- yes you -- photographed and edited. How’s that for a pretty picture?
Note: You must have a digital camera with manual controls along with a portable computer with basic photoshop image handling software. For those without necessary equipment, limited equipment may be provided. Please include the name and model of the camera you will be using along with the editing software you have installed in the "Special Requests" field when placing your booking.
