    Private Yosemite National Park Trip

Experience the majestic landscape and jaw-dropping views of Yosemite National Park on this private, guided full-day trip from San Francisco. You'll pass through California's Central Valley and iconic Gold Country before entering Yosemite, where you'll have around four hours to explore one of the best national parks in the country. Eat a delicious lunch at the famous Ahwahnee Hotel and then continue exploring the natural wonders of Yosemite. Skip the crowded buses on this intimate, informative private tour. Depart the urban jungle for a private tour of the awe-inspiring natural wonders of Yosemite National Park. Your adventure begins with a 7am pickup at your central San Francisco hotel, and then you can just sit back and relax on the drive to the park. You'll pass through the Central Valley and ascend into the Sierra foothills before being greeted at Yosemite by jaw-dropping views of the valley. Magnificent granite cliffs slope into the deep verdant valley, which was carved out by glaciers thousands of years ago. You'll have about four hours total to explore the treasure of the valley, so be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Listen to your guide as he explains the natural forces that have formed and changed Yosemite over the years. Stroll the pedestrian paths or rent a bike (own expense) for a refreshing way to see the base of the valley. Gaze up at Yosemite's most iconic monument, Half Dome, and pose for postcard-perfect photos in front of multiple waterfalls. Take in the fresh air and consider dipping your toes in the crystal-clear river that flows through the center of the valley. Then it's off to the renowned Ahwahnee Hotel's grand dining room for a fantastic High Sierra lunch. Continue exploring Yosemite's bounty of activities after lunch, stopping at Half Dome for sweeping views of the valley, hiking to one of Yosemite's many waterfalls or watching rock climbers try to conquer El Capitan. Learn about the cultural history of the area's native peoples at the Yosemite Museum or check out the Ansel Adams Gallery to see the works of one of America's most famous nature photographers. When it's time to head back to San Francisco, you'll drive along the Sierra Nevada and pass Stanislaus National Forest, a picturesque ending to a beautiful day.

    Four Peaks Tour

    (1)
Climb through a 100-year old history of the four-peak tour of San Francisco’s most visited neighborhood, Eureka Valley. This multicultural hotspot spans the Castro District, Twin Peaks, Corona Heights, and Dolores Heights. Known as the outskirts of the City, Eureka Valley was the place where cows used to graze. You'll uncover the history of the Eureka Valley as we investigate relics of the 1850s outskirts and the churches of the 1890s Irish community. You’ll also travel through streets that were abandoned in the 60s then brought back to life in 70s by the flourishing gay community. Locals and visitors alike can appreciate these untold moments in history as you explore four of the best vistas in San Francisco. This tour is a bit of a hike, but isolation from the City has it’s perks. You'll visit secret staircases and hidden concrete slides. Secluded gardens and a certain podium with a missing statue. At the peak of Corona Heights, you’ll conclude at the lesser-known, but fascinating Randall Museum. Consider the Museum’s free entry as a reward for this fourth and final climb.
