In prison one day, sipping on award-winning wines the next. You should be locked up for passing on this 2-day package tour!
Day One includes round-trip transportation to Alcatraz Island, where you’ll enjoy a self-guided tour of the infamous prison. Audio accompaniment will give you insights into the prison’s construction, history, and most notorious inmates.
Day Two will have you heading to Sonoma for a full day of wine tasting. This 10-hour experience begins with a hotel pickup in San Francisco via biodiesel minibus. You’ll cross the Golden Gate Bridge and head into wine country, where sprawling vineyards planted on rolling hills await.
You’ll stop in at Benziger Family Winery, where a 45-minute tram tour will give you an up-close look at the vineyards, fermentation facility, and crush pad. Then you’ll head to the tasting room for samples of award-winning wine, before heading to the barrel caves to learn about biodynamic viticulture.
You’ll stop for a deli lunch in a private picnic area before you head into Napa Valley for more tastings at three to five different wineries. You’ll have time to stop for photo ops along the way, including a break at Marin Headlands above the Golden Gate Bridge on your way back to your hotel.
It should be a pretty grape time!
