    Bryce Canyon Day Trip

You’ll be picked up from your Las Vegas hotel in the morning and taken on a comfortable 4.5-hour drive by minivan to beautiful Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. Enjoy a light morning snack including a muffin, juice, crackers and granola bar. When you arrive, your guide will take you to the visitor center to get you acquainted with the park, famous for its gorgeous landscape of geological mazes. Follow your guide on several light walks to scenic lookout points along the canyon’s rim to admire incredible horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters, hoodoos (thin rock spires), windows and fins made of colorful limestone rocks. At Inspiration Point, three levels provide great perspectives of the main amphitheater. See the gnarled trunks of bristlecone pines and red hoodoos set against the Boat Mesa formation. If you look carefully as you walk through these barren slopes, you might discover a short-horned lizard trying to remain camouflaged! Head to Sunset Point, offering vistas of some of Bryce Canyon’s most breathtaking hoodoos. Admire the rainbow of colors of the Claron Formation and learn how this unique rock is composed of limestone deposited approximately 50 million years ago from an ancient lake. Your guide will also take you to Sunrise Point, where you’ll see stark pink cliffs and ponderosa pines dominating the forest above the rim. If you wish to explore further at any of these points, ask your guide about the best trails and head below the rim on your own for more challenging hikes. You’ll spend approximately three hours in the park. At midday, enjoy a picnic lunch or lunch at a restaurant, depending on the weather.

    Red Rock Canyon Hiking Tour

Ever wonder what Vegas locals do for fun? Well escape the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas for a unique hiking experience in beautiful Red Rock Canyon. Join your local guide for a 3-hour hike on one of three popular trails within the park. On the day of your tour, you will decide which trail of the following options suits you best. Your guide will hike right along with you while providing interesting commentary and history about the canyon.

Calico Hills: This trail runs along the base of the Calico Rocks from Calico Basin to Sandstone Quarry. Distance is variable since the trail can be accessed at either end or from either of the two Calico parking areas. A side trail runs from the fee booth parking lot and connects with this trail. Hiking distance is 2.5-miles (4 km). Rating: easy to moderate.

White Rock to Willow Springs: Your guide will take the trail on the west side to the point where it splits. The trail to the right descends to a guzzler (man-made water hole). The trail to the left heads downhill and through a wash, then climbs over a ridge and drops you into the Lost Creek area. From there, it is only a short distance to Willow Springs. Starting from Willow Springs, just reverse the previous instructions. Hiking distance is 4.4 miles (7.8 km) roundtrip. Rating: easy to moderate.

Ice Box Canyon: This trail heads down across the wash and up the other side toward the canyon. The trail is well defined as it leads you up the side of the canyon for approximately 1/4 of a mile (0.4 km). It then drops into the bottom of the canyon. From this point, the trail becomes a route over and around boulders as it continues upstream. The official trail ends at the large ponderosa pine tree in the bottom of the canyon which is 2.5-miles roundtrip (4 km). To reach the upper pool, which is filled by seasonal waterfall, be prepared for some tricky wall scrambling and a 3-mile (4.8 km) roundtrip. Rating: moderately strenuous.
