Centered around the U Street and Shaw neighborhoods, you'll enjoy an inside look at the burgeoning food culture of these suddenly very hip destinations. Altogether, you'll visit six different food locations, enjoying mouthwatering samples, and learning about the local food culture from your guide. While the itinerary is subject to change, your tour typically begins with a meet up at Ben's Next Door, where you'll sample some delicious chili. Afterward, you'll make your way to Eatonville for southern cuisine, Fast Gourmet for some innovative bites, and Etete for Ethiopian dish samples. You'll finish up with a trip to Compass Coffee for a peek at the city's current coffee climate, and Calabash Tea & Tonic for handmade teas and dessert! Altogether, you'll walk for approximately 2 miles, stopping at each restaurant for about 20 minutes. This tour should give you quite a bit to chew on!
