Did you know that you can use the same technique grandma used to crochet your winter hats to make your own jewelry? Yup! Swap out that yarn for wire and after the learning the simple techniques in this class you’ll be able to design your own woven necklace. What could be better than that? Whether you are just in it for fun or hoping to pursue jewelry-making as a serious hobby, knowing how to crochet with wire will give you the basics to start experimenting with your own creative designs.
Note: Supplies are not included in the price, but arrive 15 minutes before class and the friendly staff will help you find everything you need.
Supplies: Large variety of beads in sizes 4-10mm that coordinate with each other or work in a color scheme (no large-holed beads!); 15 yd spool of 28ga wire in a color to complement beads; 2ft 22ga wire; 2 small plain cones (20x6mm); clasp of your choice; round-nose pliers; chain-nose pliers; wire cutters. Optional: 1 ft of chain. Crochet hook will be provided for use during class.
