Capital Sites Bike Tour November 10, 2014We expected/hoped a sunny afternoon rolling around in DC. What we got was a windy wet afternoon. It was an amazing ride through DC. I still loved looking at all the monuments and rolling down all those sidewalks and streets I had been on many times before. As a local, we do not spend enough time down there. This afternoon brought me back to my days as a child with my parents sightseeing in downtown DC. Jack was a terrific tour guide. He has a great way of introducing the Smithsonian museums and the monuments. I will definitely spread the word and I will be doing this again. Thank you Jack

Monuments@Nite Bike Tour November 6, 2014Our family had a fantastic time on our Monuments at Night Tour. It is virtually impossible to walk the monuments at night in a reasonable time and having quick transportation and a phenomenal guide (Matt) who was knowledgeable not only about the history of the monuments, but also the design, was fantastic!
It was absolutely the highlight of our 7-day visit to the District! -

Monuments Bike Tour November 5, 2014I can't express how fun our ride was with Nikki as our guide! Our firm decided to take us out for a 2hr ride that was just perfect. Not only was the tour guide patient and helpful as we prepared for the ride and stopped for photos, but she completely customized the tour for local DCers, so almost everything she said was new to me! I'd never seen the monuments like this before, and it will definitely not be the last time! If you're a local, hopping on a tour with Bike and Roll will be the best choice you can make :)

Monuments Bike Tour November 4, 2014Thank you for a wonderful tour of the DC Monuments! Our family of 5 (kids ages 5, 9,12) thoroughly enjoyed the ride and the commentary along the way. They never would have made it to see all of the monuments had we relied on their already tired out legs! We'll be checking into Bike n Roll in other big cities we visit down the road!

Monuments@Nite Bike Tour November 4, 2014Friendly helpful staff and our guide Matt , was a delight, friendly, professional and very knowledgeable . Our trip was on the 1st of November so sadly it was their last tour of the season. The bikes are extremely comfortable with good suspension and you are given a complimentary bottle of water for the trip. Safety helmets must be worn and I would recommend gloves and earmuffs if you are going late in the season. Most cycling is on paths or on the pavement.
The tour starts with the Jefferson memorial and ends with the Whitehouse with 7 other monument trips along the way, thanks to Matt, it was great to stand on the exact spot where MLK, did his.. "I have a dream..." Speech, something we had missed when visiting the monuments during the day.
The bike tour by night was special but it is not a substitute for seeing them by day, both are worth doing if you have the time.
If you do not fancy cycling they also offer Segway tours.... Something for everyone -

Monuments Bike Tour November 3, 2014We only had a day in DC and decided to do this bike tour as a way to see as many monuments as possible. At first I was really unsure about doing a bike tour but it turned out to be really awesome. We had a great guide, Andy who was very entertaining and knowledgeable about all the monuments we went to. Even people who was not apart of the tour would stop to listen to him. The actual ride part is very easy and is 99% flat and with the frequent stops you really don't get tired. If I ever go back to DC I would love to another one of their tours!

Monuments Bike Tour November 1, 2014We did the Monuments Tour with Allison as our tour guide. Fantastic tour! Loved the factoids that Allison added. I took the tour to see if it was something I'd recommend to out of town guests, and I absolutely would!

Sites by Segway: The National Mall October 28, 2014I've been around the sites, do I'd thought I'd heard and seen it all. Seeing Pennsylvania Ave from a Segway proved I was wrong. Kia was a great guide and a fantastic Segway instructor. She made me comfortable within minutes. Such a fun tour!

Monuments@Nite Bike Tour October 11, 2014Did the monuments at night tour on a Saturday night. Perfect way to see all of the monuments! It was a bit harrowing at times to navigate through the crowds at the traffic lights in the dark.

Sites by Segway: The National Mall September 7, 2014A segway tour is just the best way to see the Washington. We have tried the bus tours which are nice but they aren't as interactive as this tour was. Our guide Kia (hope I'm spelling her name correctly) was fantastic! Very patient with the large group she was herding around, thorough with explaining monuments and she even provided snacks and water for the ride. Wow! This was our third Segway tour and we had not received any water or any other treats to make the ride better. Really nice touch that made the tour much more enjoyable. Will definitely go back with friends and family to see all of the beauty / history Washington has to offer while enjoying a segway ride.

Monuments@Nite Bike Tour August 31, 2014A great way to see the monuments in DC at night! Dominic was our guide and was awesome - very knowledgeable about history and delightfully laid back. I loved that they provided water at the start of our ride, cliff bars mid-way and otter pops at the end :). We were able to see many more things than we would have been able to see if we had driven and tried to park. Would love to have done a second ride during the day!

Capital Sites Bike Tour July 27, 2014I was in DC for business, but really wanted to get out of the Convention Center and enjoy the city. I love to bike and chose the night Capitol Sights tour by Bike and Roll. This was a 3 hour ride at a very gentle pace, stopping frequently to hear the tour guide tell us about where we were. This was a great way to see a LOT of sights. I was lucky enough to have perfect weather and our guide was personable and really knew the city. Thanks for a great experience!!

Monuments Bike Tour June 8, 2014My wife and I decided to do a tour of the monuments. We love biking so we decided to reserve a tour with Bike and Roll.
We arrived and they got us checked in. They were very nice to make sure we had the right bikes and our helmets fit. They also have us a bottle of water which was very thoughtful.
They did a quick review of how the bike worked and we were on our way.
I thought this would just be a quick review of the monuments but I was wrong.
Our tour guide was Dominic. He was amazing. We had such a great time. He explained the history of each place we stopped. He also gave us time to look around and take pictures.
The ride was easy for me and my wife. There were a couple of people that struggled and Dominic was good to wait for them and. He didn't leave them behind.
We got to see the Capitol, Washington Monument, World War II, Vietnam, Lincoln, FRD, and Jefferson Memorials.
At one of the stops Dominic gave us a snack. I don't think it was part of what we paid but he did it anyway. Great Guy!
We will gladly take a tour again from Bike and Roll! -

Monuments Bike Tour April 21, 2014Our family, two adults and two kids, did the Monument tour last week in DC. Matt, our guide, was great. He navigated the Spring Break crowds safety and provided just the right amount of information at each stop. Bike and Roll is an excellent way to see the sights in DC with kids. The tour was informative, covered a lot of ground (without walking or driving!), and fun for a family outing. Our girls are 15 and 11 and it was great for all of us.
