About this Activity
The airplane you’ll ride, the Stearman #03, is an original aircraft, built by Boeing in 1941 and used by the U.S. Army Air Corps as a pilot training aircraft during WWII. Today, it’s restored to its original military configuration and ready for your enjoyment! You'll experience the thrill of open cockpit flying with a ride in a unique aircraft -- a memorable experience for all ages! Feel the wind in your face and take in the exciting views of the Virginia countryside from the air, just like the Barnstorming pilots of the 1930’s. The pilot will keep it smooth and steady for those passengers who just want to take in the sights -- or change it up for the more daring crowd with some steep turns and exciting wing overs! Regardless of your choice of flight, this is truly an experience worthy of discovery!
