'Meh' about sums is up. Not terrible, just not worth the money and time. Food at 3 places was decent but not outstanding. Same with the dessert at the 4th place. Oh and if you are vegetarian be prepared to eat a lot of salad. The guide was pleasant but not especially informative. You would be better off picking out recommended restaurants from respected publications (look at the relevant sections of the Washington Post or the Washingtonian magazine) and visiting them using any standard guidebook for find your way around.

I'm going to rate the tour parts separately
We took the tour in September in Georgetown with Sean
5 stars - Weather
5 stars - Food - Poalo's was amazing and wasn't just a taste it was almost a full meal. The chef explained the meal and the service was fantastic. Same with the wonderful savory crepes at Café Bonaparte. Also I don't remember the name of the place we had fantastic soup.
4 stars - The tour guide. He gave us a great history lesson, but he was lacking in informing us about the food atmosphere in the Georgetown area. I wish he had given us a tour list so I could remember where we stopped.
I'd recommend it.
El C.Georgetown Food Tour September 16, 2014
4 gals went on food tour of Georgetown and loved the food offerings and our guide Sean. The amount of the food we received at each stop, 3 restaurants and one bakery, was more than we bargained for. Large portions of soup and chaucuterie, neatballs and pasta, crepes served with chardonnay and finally 2 sweet bites. We felt like we were rolling home. We justified this indulgence by walking everywhere and it is a wee trek from the metro stop. Good food and good introduction to Georgetown.

We did the Georgetown food/walking tour. Kayla our guide was very informative. Do not eat prior as the portions are quite large. We went to 2 Italian restaurants & 1 middle eastern restaurant, followed up by a bakery. We loved the food that we ate & totally enjoyed the history along the way.

Tour: Gastronomic Georgetown Food Tour
My boyfriend had never been to Georgetown and found this for us to do as a fun activity to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrived we met the tour guides at a square in the middle of the road near benches under some trees. They were very enthusiastic and knowledge about the history of Georgetown and the restaurants we went to.
I highly recommend going on one of these tours! They were a great time.
Tip: Don't have super high expectations for the food at the restaurants. Some of them were better than others, and overall we were satisfied. They have a good variety and we were pretty full by the end.
