Photo Tour: Monuments and Memorials - Full Day
August 5, 2014
My wife and I took the full day "monuments" tour and it was absolutely fantastic. We both love taking photographs, but we're not experts by any means. By the end of the day we were comfortably taking pictures in full manual mode and they look great!
Mr. Luria is a great instructor and tour guide. His knowledge of DC is impressive but not has impressive as his laid-back, no pressure teaching style. My wife is fairly shy around people she doesn't know and wasn't confident with the camera, but David had her out of her shell in no time.
The average class size (according to Mr. Luria) is seven. We had 5 in our group (a Wednesday), from fairly experienced amateurs to people who borrowed a camera for the safari. Everyone got a lot out of it.
We plan to take more photo safari's later this year and I've been recommending it to friends.
A great day in DC with your camera!

Photo Tour: Monuments and Memorials - Full Day

I would highly recommend Washington Photo Safari. Whether you're a seasoned shooter with a big DSLR, or are simply looking to get your point-and-shoot off auto, WPS is for you. David Luria is excellent at gauging your skill level and giving you the appropriate hints and advice. The tour is a good mix of practical exercises and "tour guiding" from a Washington local. Don't come home with the same holiday snaps as everyone else. Book yourself in and get your own perspective on the city.

Photo Tour: Monuments and Memorials - Half Day
January 13, 2014
attended a half day monuments and memorials tour in November, and absolutely loved it. I take lots of pictures, and have always wanted to learn more about the different functions on my DSLR camera and how to use them to take better photos. This was the perfect opportunity to do so... Learnt a lot in this tour. Definately recommend

Photo Tour: Capitol Hill

David was fantastic and gave wonderful tips. Even though I was a beginner he ensured I understood the lesson. He kept on task and was also a great historian regarding the various statues and monuments. He gave a handout at the beginning of the tour so we would remember the lessons. Our tour included beginning amateur photographers to a gentleman who was very experienced. Everyone helped each other out with settings.
