Experience the fundamentals of XingYi Chuan, a Chinese Taoist art used for self-defense. during this beginners class! This unique style of fighting is based on the 5 elements, focusing on utilizing breath, the Earth, rooting skills, and transmission of chi (inner wisdom) through the body to be expressed explosively through the hands. Practice basic exercises to improve your proper body alignment and flexibility under the guidance of an expert, and learn techniques to apply in both empty hand forms and weapons training. This art, similar to all internal martial arts, will challenge and stimulate you physically, mentally, as well as spiritually, and impart you with an extensive knowledge of useful self-defense skills which may come in handy when you least expect it!
